They were designed to coordinate with our Happy Heart pattern dog collars and leashes. Like our collars and leashes, each sandal is hand-crafted from Kenyan leather and glass beads and are finished with non-slip micro rubber soles. They come in European sizes. Please consult the conversion chart when ordering. Example: an 8.5 in the US will order a 9 - a European 40.
Your purchase supports traditional beaders like Kyalo. Kyalo Muangi, born in the Kamba village of Myanyani, is the master craftsman who does all the leather work and the most difficult beadwork. Forced to leave school early, Kyalo went to work in the town of Machakos at 14 years old where he began beading. Now Kyalo is a mwalimu, or teacher, who provides free training to anyone who wants it.
Our sandals are made to order. We keep a few in stock but please allow up to six weeks for Kyalo to fill your order and for us to get it to you. We guarantee it is worth the wait!
